How to Make Your Hot Tub Time More Enjoyable

Despite the fact that hot tubs come with lots of benefits, there’s more you could be doing to enhance your experience while using it.

Does that seem weird? Maybe you’ve never thought about the fact that you may not be using your hot tub or spa to its fullest advantages. After all, you invested all this money in the hot tub and it’s giving you back everything you thought it would, right?

While this may be true, you, as the hot tub owner can make a few tweaks in how you use it to maximize your experience.

For starters, you can set some candles around the hot tub to set a romantic mood. It’s best to place candles on surrounding materials instead of the tub’s edge itself – try using the surrounding landscape or pulling up a few taller chairs or patio tables so you don’t risk the candles falling into the tub.

If you’re primarily using your hot tub for health benefits, you can also consider adding some minerals and natural herbs/oils to the water to get the most impact from your time in the tub. However, before you put anything in the water besides the recommended chemicals, make sure you consult with a spa service and the user manual to make sure this will not do harm to the hot tub.

Finally, don’t forget the power of your music. If you’re having a rip-roaring good time at a party, make sure you’ve got music on to keep the energy levels up. You can also do the opposite and put on soothing, quiet music if you’re trying to relax and wind down after a long day. Or how about listening to that audiobook you’ve wanted to get to.

They may not seem like much, but all these little tweaks will help make your hot tub time far more enjoyable than just turning on the jets and sitting in the water for a while. You invested in this backyard spa, so get the maximum benefits out of it.

Which of these ways do you use on a regular basis when you use your hot tub? Or do you do something else? Tell us in the comments.
